A City in the West Los Angeles Region, CA

Department of Public Works

With the state of California in the midst of a drought and potable water shortage, a city in the West Los Angeles Region (City) decided to be proactive in reducing its water usage.

That’s exactly what the City did when it commenced its Water Efficient Fixture Project as part of its Water Conservation Plan. The Project specified the installation of a total of 231 Sloan products, including Sloan’s UPPERCUT® dual-flush flushometers as well as its waterfree urinals at 24 City properties.
Known for their water-saving features, Sloan’s products lived up to their reputation. Sloan fixtures achieved an average 35 percent water use reduction over the course of a three-month study of six of the City’s largest locations, more than doubling the State’s 16 percent water use reduction mandate.

The City exceeded its water saving goals by proactively implementing measures that reduced its water usage in response to the drought. The City’s partnership with Sloan achieved the objective in a highly-efficient and effective fashion.
