Made in America with Safety and Pride

The United States has never had an Independence Day like this one. Due to COVID-19, July 4 celebrations are expected to be smaller-scaled and less crowded—if they happen at all. Smaller celebrations, of course, don’t mean any of us are less proud to be American. It just means we value each other’s safety.

At Sloan, we’re proud to be a part of the American manufacturing base that has maintained production of vital goods and kept millions of Americans employed. We’re proud that so many of our products are made in the USA.

And we’re most proud of how we’re getting it done.

Made Proudly in the USA

Walk into commercial restrooms anywhere in the world and there’s a good chance you’ll see a Sloan product. From Anchorage, Alaska to Punta Arena, Chile… from Guayaquil, Ecuador to Jimbaran Bali, Indonesia… you’ll find state-of-the-art Sloan restroom technology manufactured at our plants here in the United States.

Many of these products satisfy the Buy American Act, which requires government agencies to buy products certified as made in the U.S. We feel this certification is also valuable to any business that prioritizes American-manufactured materials and components.

That’s why we offer hundreds of commercial restroom products that comply with the Buy American Act, including:

  • Water-saving manual and sensor flushometers
  • Stylish, hygienic, touch-free sensor faucets
  • Pressure-assisted water closets
  • Urinal/flushometer combos
  • Sinks and more

A Safe and Hygienic Work Environment

In the facilities where they’re installed, Sloan products help maintain good hygiene. So, it’s only natural that we ensure they’re manufactured in a safe and hygienic work environment as well.

Out of concern for our employees’ safety and wellness, Sloan temporarily suspended all manufacturing operations—with employees on paid leave—when the COVID-19 pandemic made its first impact in the United States in March 2020. (We continued to ship priority orders serving critical industries such as healthcare during this time.)

This suspension let us implement CDC and WHO-recommended protocols, including a comprehensive deep cleaning of our facilities and reorganization of our assembly and manufacturing areas to adhere to social distancing standards.

Since resuming manufacturing operations on April 6, 2020, Sloan has followed CDC-recommended guidelines for social distancing and ensured that our employees have appropriate personal protective equipment and a hygienic work environment.

To us, it isn’t enough to simply make our products in the United States—it’s essential that we do it with the highest possible consideration for the health and safety of the Americans who make them.

Please enjoy your Independence Day—safely!

Since the introduction of the modern flushometer in 1906, Sloan innovations have saved building owners billions of gallons of water. For more water-saving ideas and continued learning resources, talk to Sloan!
