Sloan Launches Online Sink Configurator Tool

Sloan, the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems, today introduced its Sink Configurator, an online resource designed to help streamline and customize sink specification.

The Sink Configurator equips architects and designers with a tool to quickly determine what kind of sink will look best in their restroom.

Customers can explore the possibilities with visual real-time updates to sink features, faucets, soap dispensers, and hand dryers with associated pricing. The configurator also includes some options for background environments for sink context.

“With hand hygiene being more important than ever, it’s crucial for specifiers to be able to find the right sink to meet the handwashing needs for their specific restroom project,” said Scott McClelland, Sloan vice president, marketing and product management. “Sloan’s new Sink Configurator is helping to make this process easier than ever, complete with a number of easily customizable options—all right at your fingertips.”

Users can toggle between Sloan’s sink styles—AER-DEC® or Designer Series™—while being able to choose between a standard sink size or a customizable length. Customizable features also include numerous faucet and soap dispensers that can be filtered by options including finish, power type, and flow rate, as well as various sink enclosure styles such as angled stainless steel, vertical stainless steel, and vertical cabinet-style laminated doors available in hundreds of Wilsonart® laminates.

The Sink Configurator also features a wide range of sink materials and colors, such as Corian® Solid Surface, Corian® Quartz, Caesarstone®, and Silestone®. Optional sink features include a paper towel holder, trash hole, LED lighting, baby changing station, bag hook, and more.

Additionally, users are able to emulate the restroom they’re designing the sink for as closely as possible by customizing floor and wall aesthetics in order to gain a better visual of how the customized sink will fit into its surrounding environment.

Specifiers can save their configuration and even organize those configurations by project. Once saved, they can download the sink rendering to share with colleagues or clients, pricing and configuration details of what they designed, rough-in and line drawings, and installation instructions.
