Sloan Expands DropSpot™ Offering with New Models and Smart Connectivity
Sloan, the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems, has announced several updates to its DropSpot™ Bottle Fillers and Water Coolers portfolio, expanding hydration solutions for commercial, institutional, and educational facilities. The updates include new water cooler–only models, expanded SC Argus® Pro connectivity, additional unrefrigerated configurations, and a new state‑specific legislative resource to support hydration compliance planning.
“These updates reinforce Sloan’s commitment to flexible hydration solutions that promote wellness while adapting to evolving facility needs,” said Adam Myers, Sloan Product Line Manager, Bottle Fillers, Hand Dryers, and Restroom Accessories. “By expanding our DropSpot options from cooler‑only models to smart connectivity and compliance resources, we’re helping customers plan with confidence today and into the future.”
Sloan has introduced two new DropSpot water cooler models — DRS115 and DRS125 — designed for facilities that require dependable drinking water access without bottle filling capability. These models provide a more affordable alternative for projects that do not require bottle fillers while maintaining the durability and performance associated with the DropSpot line.
In addition, DropSpot Bottle Fillers and Water Coolers are now available with SC Argus Pro connectivity, Sloan’s smart IoT monitoring platform designed to support connected building management. With SC Argus Pro, facility teams can monitor usage, track filter life, and better plan maintenance, supporting operational efficiency and long‑term asset management. This feature is available only in DropSpot units that include a bottle filler.
To further support diverse facility requirements, Sloan has expanded the availability of unrefrigerated DropSpot Bottle Filler and Water Cooler SKUs. These configurations offer a cost‑effective option for facilities that do not require chilled water.
Sloan is also introducing a state‑specific legislative resource outlining requirements related to bottle fillers and water coolers in commercial buildings. The resource is designed to help specifiers, building owners, facility managers, and contractors stay informed as hydration requirements continue to evolve.
- New legislation effective July 1 in Illinois and Washington
- Active legislation in Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, and New Jersey
- Pending legislation in states including Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin
