Sloan Reaches Settlement to Stop Unauthorized Sales of Its Products
Sloan, the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems, today announced the resolution of a federal lawsuit in the Northern District of Illinois against unauthorized resellers. The lawsuit addressed the unauthorized promotion, sale, and distribution of Sloan‑branded products and included claims related to unfair competition, trademark infringement, trademark dilution, false advertising, civil conspiracy, and deceptive trade practices.
In its complaint, Sloan alleged that the defendants—including ZRM Industries and Consolidated Global Dynamics—engaged in the unauthorized use of Sloan’s intellectual property in connection with the advertising and sale of Sloan‑branded products without Sloan’s knowledge or approval. The litigation was initiated to protect Sloan’s intellectual property, maintain the integrity of its authorized distribution network, and safeguard the interests of its customers and authorized sellers.
In March 2026, the parties reached a settlement under which the defendants agreed to permanently cease selling or offering for sale any Sloan products and to stop using Sloan’s trademarks or other intellectual property in any manner. The settlement prevents further unauthorized marketing and distribution of Sloan products.
“Sloan is committed to protecting the integrity of our brand and ensuring that customers receive genuine Sloan products through authorized channels,” said Nate Isaacson, General Counsel at Sloan. “This resolution reinforces our ongoing efforts to safeguard our intellectual property while supporting the trusted distribution network our customers and partners rely on.”
Sloan remains steadfast in enforcing its intellectual property rights and continues to actively monitor marketplaces for potential violations. These efforts are critical to preserving the quality, performance, and service standards associated with Sloan products, as well as supporting authorized sellers worldwide.
